This is such a wonderful and thoughtful post for the case to moving to non-toxic. Cheers to our partner @theparlorseattle 👏
Boom we did it! Our parlor is free of toxic synthetic hair care!
Synthetics are chemicals. And we are no longer ok with heating them up and inhaling them. Fragrance in your professional and unprofessional products are proprietary and can’t be regulated because they do not have to disclose the ingredients. Companies hide their chemical under that label. •
The word "fragrance" or "parfum" on the product label represents an undisclosed mixture of various scent chemicals and ingredients used as fragrance dispersants such as diethyl phthalate.
It’s scary what these chemicals do, our bodies recognize them as hormones and try to process them that way, they really can disrupt or endocrine system.
Come check out our beautiful synthetic free haircare, and step into clean air. You will be amazed how your body will react after you take those chemicals out of your life. It will give you a warning reaction, as it should because it’s dangerous!
We smell like essential oils, because that’s the only thing in our haircare. The companies we support are small, eco friendly, anti conglomerate, cruelty free, refillable, and sustainable. They are transparent on all of their ingredients and all of them have supported us as much as we support them. Which is something toxic companies never done... all they’ve done is shorten our careers by filling their green washed products with toxic ingredients and supplementing with essential oils with synthetics.
You will not see any davines, Aveda, Kevin Murphy, L’Oréal brands, loma, randco, bumble and bumble, or any of those commonly toxic brands in our salon. They shouldn’t call themselves sustainable, not when your causing and assisting chronic illness among the hardest workers in the world. You don’t deserve that label just because your bottle is post consumer recycled.
